ARUSH Entertainment has released a playable demo of Hunting Unlimited 2. The demo features 5 of the 75 challenges in the full game - the free hunt mode, mini-games, mission editor and target range are disabled in the demo but appear in the full version. Sick Puppies and Empire Interactive have released the v1.0.20.0 international (German, French, Italian and Spanish ) patches for Ghost Master, their 3D spook-em-up management game. As with the earlier UK edition, this release fixes navigation problems, scenario glitches, WinXP issues and general bugs, as well as adding sound improvements and new hot keys. Freeform Interactive today released Purge Jihad Open Beta 5 Build 1.8D, their free expansion pack (requires the retail version of Purge) for their recent FPS-RPG multiplayer combo. Microsoft has released another security patch rated critical for Windows XP and Windows 2000. The patch includes the fix for the security vulnerability discussed in MS03-026, as well as 3 newly discovered vulnerabilities. Read more here.

JoWood Productions has released the v1.49 multiplayer demo of Chaser, the sci-fi FPS by Cauldron. Ubi Soft has released the v1.41 patches for their squad-based tactical shooter, Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield. This release adds PunkBuster and GameSpy Arcade support, fixes some translation problems in foreign versions, adds a toggle for Immediate Firing Animation, and more. According to a post on Neowin.net, security expert http-equiv on Full-Disclosure has reported that the patch for the latest security vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer (MS03-032) doesn't fix the problem. A link to a proof of concept exploit is included in his advisory. Read more here.
